Yes, it’s happening: Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford are back for "Indiana Jones 5," and the internet has very mixed feelings. Some are ecstatic to see the franchise hopefully improve over "Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull," while others (like me) hung up their hat with "Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade" and don’t have a particular need for a new installment. But if you’re Disney, you don’t sink $4 billion into Lucasfilm and sit on a property as valuable "Indiana Jones," so off they go revisting the franchise, and a screenwriter has been found.
THR reports that David Koepp will write the script for "Indiana Jones 5." The screenwriter previously penned "Jurassic Park" and "War Of The Worlds" for Spielberg, and his credits include "Mission: Impossible," "Spider-Man," "Panic Room," "Angels & Demons," and "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit." Okay, some hits and some misses, but key for fans will be that the Koepp also wrote the widely derided ‘Crystal Skull.’ However, it should be noted and perhaps stressed that he was working from a story by George Lucas, who will not be involved this time around.
All other details about the script and story are currently under wraps, but we’ll see how it shakes out when the movie opens on July 19, 2019.
Hate to be that guy but Lucas involvement with Indy4 was probably the worst thing to happen to that movie. Without him there\’s still hope. I think Spielberg knows that he tanked the movie and want very much to leave the series on a good note.
what Jeffery said I am impressed that some one able to make $8960 in one month on the computer. you could try this out…>> WWW.Alpha-Careers.COM
NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, Lawrence. The man who had us rickrolled in the force awakens.
I was really, REALLY hoping that Lawrence Kasdan would come back one last time.
Yes! ET will make an appearance. I knew it! A reboot in a reboot!
Maybe if Scott Rudin is done saving Blood Meridian from John Hillcoat he could knock some sense into Spielberg\’s insistence about continuing to collaborate with the weakest link in his entire filmography (yes, even worse than Kate Capshaw).
Terrible, terrible idea! Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was the biggest dud I ever saw in cinema and really affected the iconic stature of the original trilogy. Some good things, like Raiders-Temple-Last Crusade and the Back to the Future trilogy don\’t need a fourth act – let alone a fifth!! Just another sad attempt to cash in on a by then 77-year old man-with-the-hat! Yuk!
Woof.
