Bromance alert! Having already palled around on “Horrible Bosses,” and getting set to hang together on “Horrible Bosses 2,” it seems director Seth Gordon and stars Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day just can’t get enough of each other. (Someone give Jason Bateman a hug.)
The trio are now reuniting on another project, “One Night On The Hudson,” but this time the laughs will be at a minimum. What could sound like a “The Hangover“-style comedy is actually a thriller about a rookie cop and his jaded veteran partner, who are assigned to transport a federal witness from New Jersey to Manhattan. Of course, all manner of things stand between them and the completion of their job. Frankly, this also sounds like it could be easily tweaked into a “Midnight Run“-style flick, and something tells us that’s exactly what will happen. Who wants to see Sudeikis plays serious?
The film, which will also be produced by Gordon, is still early stages and won’t happen for a while, so we’ll see how this project plays out, but it’s clear these three guys dig working together, and if it’s not on this, it will be on something else. [THR]
