Speaking of Wes Anderson, Brad Pitt and Softbank commercials, Anderson did one late last year which was a direct homage to Mr. Hulot's Holiday. Unfortunately, they've all been copyright claimed off the face of Youtube. Apparently Wong Kar-Wai did some too, but I haven't seen those.
