Legendary DC villain Harley Quinn is back on our screens with Season 3 of the adult-animated comedy “Harley Quinn” series.
Originally created as a sidekick to the Joker, Harley made her first debut in “Batman: The Animated Series” and quickly grew to stardom. Now, Quinn stars in multiple animated projects, comics, and even Hollywood blockbusters like “Birds of Prey” and James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad.” “Harley Quinn” was developed by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey. The trio has previously worked on “iZombie,” with Halpern and Schumacker both working together on “The End of the World As We Know It.”

Here’s the official synopsis:
The mayhem and madness continue in season three of this biting and uproarious adult animated comedy series. Wrapping up their “Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour,” Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy return to Gotham as the new power couple of DC villainy. Along with their ragtag crew – King Shark, Clayface, Frank the Plant – “Harlivy” strives to become the best version of themselves while also working towards Ivy’s long desired plan of transforming Gotham into an Eden paradise.
The series continues the storyline from the comic series “Harley Quinn: Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour” which was released after the ending of Season 2. The comic focused on exploring the relationship between the main characters, Harley and Ivy, and helps set up the drama for the next coming season.
Kaley Cuoco will be returning as Harley Quinn, Cuoco is most known for her role as Penny in the science-fiction show “The Big Bang Theory” which ended in 2019. Cuoco’s most recent project “The Flight Attendant” recently released its second season this year. Lake Bell will reprise her role as Poison Ivy, the plant-based villain who has been around since 1966. Bell has done a lot of voice work throughout her career, recently playing another version of Natasha Romanoff in the Marvel animated series “What if?” Fan-favorite characters King Shark (Ron Funches), Clayface (Alan Tudyk), and Frank the Plant (JB Smoove) will be returning for the third season. The three were breakout characters in the first two seasons and fans can’t wait to see what happens to them now.
“Harley Quinn” Season 3 will start streaming on HBO MAX on July 28, followed by one episode weekly through to September 15. You can watch the teaser below:
