With "The Bourne Legacy" and "The Campaign" arriving this weekend, the summer movie season is winding down to a close, but August will cap off with one big hurrah, when John Hillcoat's "Lawless" rolls into theaters. The rootin', tootin' bootleggin' drama is bringing a helluva cast (Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, Gary Oldman, Guy Pearce, Jason Clarke and more) and story to the big screen, and The Weinstein Company want to make sure there are asses in the seats.
Their promotional rollout continues with a few more things to take a look at. There's your standard TV spot to drum up some excitement for the movie, and for those looking for something a bit more in depth, an EPK/making of featurette bites into the movie a little harder. Also angling for your attention is a continuing run of infographics (a pretty bizarre way to market this movie) with the latest centering on the "Bad Girls Of Prohibition," serving up info on two real life women who slung hooch, and bios from two characters from the movie played by Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska. It should be noted the latter is pretty much a clean cut, wholesome minister's daughter, so why she's on this is kind of bizarre, but whatever.
"Lawless" will get you drunk on August 29th.

The Weinsteins can count on my ass in the seat. Looking forward to it!
