Never in a million years would I have thought the nostalgia for the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” was at an all-time high, especially considering the mediocre original films and cartoon series that wasn’t all that special, but this is when you realize you’re old and not the right demo.
Starring Megan Fox in the lead, along with Will Arnett in support, the Jonathan Liebesman directed, Michael Bay-produced “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie will be “interesting” because it’s a Platinum Dunes project. Yep, we’re talking about Bay’s cheapo re-do shingle that has yet to make a good film (and has made plenty of pretty terrible reboots like “Friday The 13th,” “Nightmare On Elm Street” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”).
Can Liebesman, Dunes and Bay finally break their streak? Well, “Battle: Los Angeles,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning” and “Wrath of the Titans” weren’t any good either, but perhaps nostalgia can force it through?
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” lands in theaters August 8th 2014. Check out the four new character posters below.
Good idea not showing us their faces in the posters. That would surely kill the film even more.
