Seriously, he’s joking, but he’s not. Let’s not go overkill guys. Ansari also says he has a part in “Get Him to the Greek,” the Russell Brand/Jonah Hill sorta-sequel to “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” (or at least it tracks the further adventures of Brand’s Aldous Snow character), but is this a surprise to anyone? Doesn’t Ansari have it written into his contract that he has a bit part in every Apatow movie until the end of time? [Vulture]
In related news, has Sharon Waxman’s reporting struck out twice in a row when it comes to stories about a film’s length? We already mentioned she botched the “Inglourious Basterds,” length story and now Judd Apatow himself is calling her report that said Universal allegedly wanted 30 minutes shaved from “Funny People,” bullshit. Then again, what is he going to say? “Yeah, Universal begged me to trim it, but I had final cut and said no.” It’s hard to say these days as the press seemingly use random emails as sources and filmmakers and studios lie to stay ahead of the pack.

Yep, these two are the new Johnny Depp/Tim Burton. That ONE Apatow movie that Ansari has been in.
I loved this movie! I have seen the original, also, and I have to say that this version is much more fun to watch and should appeal to a wider audience.
