What’s easily one of the most anticipated and exciting series coming to TV in 2019? Without question, it’s FX Networks’ limited series “Fosse Verdon,” the story of the singular romantic and creative partnership between Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon as played by Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams. Fosse was a legendary American dancer, musical theatre choreographer, director, and filmmaker who made “Cabaret” and was nominated for four four Academy Awards for his efforts, winning for Best Director. Gwen Verdon was a was an American Tony-winning actress and dancer, and known as one of the best dancers on Broadway. They married in 1960, but Fosse’s extramarital affairs put a strain on the marriage, and by 1971 they were separated. “Fosse Verdon” is the story of their life and romantically and creatively.

Only Bob can create the groundbreaking musicals that allow Gwen to showcase her greatness. Only Gwen can realize the unique vision in Bob’s head. Together, they will change the face of American entertainment – at a perilous cost.

The show hails from many Broadway heavyweights and award-winning producers Thomas Kail, Steven Levenson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Joel Fields.
“Fosse Verdon” also stars Norbert Leo Butz, Margaret Qualley, Aya Cash, Nate Corddry, Susan Misner, Bianca Marroquin, Kelli Barrett, Evan Handler, Rick Holmes, and Paul Reiser. The eight-episode limited series has no official premiere date, but with the release of this new teaser trailer, FX has just revealed the show will arrive sometime in April. That leaves you plenty of time to dive into genius Fosse works like “Cabaret” and “All That Jazz.” Check out the teaser below. Update: the premiere date has been revealed.
