A little later today, the first full trailer for “Gone Girl” will arrive (you can check out a teaser right here), but before that, a new poster has dropped. And it’s keeping in the tradition of great artwork that accompanies David Fincher‘s films.
No word yet on the designer (though it’s probably not a longshot guess that Neil Kellerhouse was involved), but it’s a pretty terrific riff on a breaking news report, this one chronicling the search for “Amazing Amy.” Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn, the thriller tells the tale of a woman (Rosamund Pike) who disappears on her fifth wedding anniversary, with all the evidence pointing to her husband, Nick (Ben Affleck). And if you think you know the book, guess again because the author has penned a new ending.
Co-starring Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Carrie Coon and Emily Ratajkowski, “Gone Girl” opens on October 3, 2014. Poster below. [Digital Spy]
gotta say it: Chasing Amy.
