Got a Tip?

First Official Images Of ‘The Artist’ Star Jean Dujardin In George Clooney’s ‘Monuments Men’

The great George Clooney Hang Out With His Pals And Maybe Get Some Awards movie “Monuments Men” is still a couple of months off, but the big question for Oscar types is whether or not it’ll be a piece of popcorn entertainment, a wild WWII adventure or something in between. We’d wager the latter, if only because this cast looks like it’s impervious to not having fun.

Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett, Bob Balaban, Hugh Bonneville, John Goodman and Jean Dujardin all hang out with writer/director/star Clooney in front of the camera, with some new snaps of “The Artist” lead in the film making their way online. He joins the ragtag World War II platoon, tasked by FDR to head in to Germany and recover priceless art and artifacts. It’s based on a true story, and even though it sounds like a WWII retread of “Ocean’s Eleven,” the ensemble is pretty undeniable.

“Monuments Men” arrives on December 18th. [Premiere]

  1. I like that Clooney brought in Jean DuJardin to the project. Neat idea given that they were rivals for last year's Best Actor Award at the Oscars. No doubt they both hit it off with each other since they are both very talented and hot at the box office. This will also help the movies' box office in France.
