RowThree via Io9 has the first images of Viggo Mortensen and relative newcomer Kodi Smit-McPhee in the adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s post-apocalyptic novel, “The Road.”
Coincidentally a book we have yet to finish because a jog (a job and a blog) makes daily book reading a luxury we cannot really afford (or we’ll probably finish mid-2010 at this rate).
In a move that seem illogical to us, the film is NOT being produced by Scott “I Buy Up New York Times Best Sellers Like They Are Going Out Of Style” Rudin and is set for release later this year on November 26. Guy Pearce, Charlize Theron and Robert Duvall also star which sort of spoils the book for us (more than two people???). The fantastic musical news for this film is that Nick Cave and Warren Ellis – the guys behind the genius maudlin score to “The Assasination of Jesse James” will be composing the music for this one as well.
