Got a Tip?

First Look: Oscar Isaac & Garrett Hedlund In ‘Mojave’; Simon Pegg In ‘Kill Me Three Times’ & More

Simon Pegg As A Hitman In 'Kill Me Three Times'

Lots of images are dropping like it’s hot with the American Film Market in full swing, so let’s just dive right in and we’ll start with a man wearing a mean moustache.

No, what you’re seeing up above isn’t Simon Pegg‘s progress for Movember, instead it’s a first look at him in “Kill Me Three Times,” courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter’s AFM print edition. The actor features among an ensemble cast, including Luke Hemsworth, Sullivan Stapleton, Alice Braga, Bryan Brown, Callan Mulvey and Teresa Palmer in the Aussie thriller that centers on a young singer (Braga) in a multi-threaded tale of blackmail and revenge that includes a mercurial assassin (Pegg), a gambling addict (Stapleton) and a small town Lady Macbeth (Palmer) amongst others. Kriv Stenders directs.

Next up, it won’t just be “Inside Llewyn Davis” where Oscar Isaac and Garrett Hedlund cross paths. The duo star in “The Departed” writer William Monahan‘s latest directorial effort about a suicidal artist who goes into the eponymous desert only to find his doppelgänger in a homicidal drifter. Louise Bourgion and Walton Goggins co-star. Here’s another new look at “Madame Bovary” starring Mia Wasikowska (the first one is here, in case you missed it). Based on Gustave Flaubert’s classic novel, the passionate drama tells the tragic story of Emma (Wasikowska), a young beauty who impulsively marries a small-town doctor to leave her father’s pig farm behind. But after being introduced to the glamorous world of high society, she soon becomes bored with her stodgy mate and seeks excitement and status outside the bonds of marriage. Ezra Miller, Paul Giamatti, Rhys Ifans, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Logan Marshall-Green, Olivier Gourmet and Laura Carmichael also feature in the Sophie Barthes film.
Lastly, “The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death,” the sequel to the hit Hammer horror “The Woman In Black,” has started filming and the first images are here. Jeremy Irvine, Phoebe Fox, Helen McCrory and Oaklee Pendergast star in this one which continues the original film’s story: four decades have passed since Arthur Kipps travelled to Eel Marsh House—and now, a group of children are evacuated with their teachers from the perils of Blitz-era London. The group soon awakens Eel Marsh House’s darkest inhabitant. Tom Harper directs.

  1. Cool. The picture and scences of Pegg with the rifle was taken about 150ft from my porch at my place just North of Perth.
The water is just behind the dune.
Film crew hung around for about 5 days, but no trouble.
Funnily enough, Charlie Boorman was hanging around the set.
I didn't think he was in this film, or is he?

  2. Why does the print description above say Garrett and Oscar star in "The Departed"? It's "Mojave" as the title shows, right? This movie looks so good! First poster, Deborah…couldn't agree with you more!

  3. Garrett Hedlund is such an underrated and talented actor but little by little he's convincing the Philistines. On The Road and Inside Llewyn Davis are the evidences of that. He looks fierce in Mojave. Nice to see he and Oscar are working together again.
