Here is your first look at Michael Winterbottom’s “The Killer Inside Me” courtesy of a few pap snaps taken during the film’s production.
Based on a Jim Thompson novel — the author who co-wrote Stanley Kubrick’s classic-heist-caper “The Killing” — “The Killer Inside Me” is set in the 1950’s and centers on a West Texas sheriff, played by Casey Affleck, on his downward spiral from a boring small-town cop into a ruthless, sociopathic murderer trying to cement his innocence when the evidence looks suspicious.
The film co-stars Kate Hudson as the sheriff’s girlfriend, Simon Baker as a county attorney looking to expose the sheriff, Jessica Alba as a prostitute and Ned Beatty and Bill Pullman in unknown roles. Filming took place during the summer in Oklahoma with a summer 2010 release is being eyed even though a distributor has yet to be found.
While on set, producers Brad Schlei and Andrew Eaton spoke with local paper, The Oklahoman [via NewsOk], about the film’s production. Here are their interviews which includes behind-the-scenes footage from filming.
My friend's cousin worked on the set. She said Kate Hudson is incredibly nice and Casey Affleck is a major Hollywood douche.
I didn't know about this film until now…sounds good.
Hi
The Pic of Simon Baker is not from pap snaps taken during the "Killer inside me's production.
It is from The Mentalist's production.
