Are you a fan of "Drive"? Well, if you are, and you haven't yet tracked down Nicolas Winding Refn's crackling debut "Pusher" (or its two sequels), then you probably should. At least before the remake hits.
That's right, in case you forgot, Vertigo Films is doing an English language version of the movie, which is technically the second remake of the film following a Hindi iteration that was made a while ago. This time around the cast is led by model-turned-actress Agyness Deyn (she was Aphrodite in "Clash Of The Titans"), Richard Coyle ("Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time"), Bronson Webb ("Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides") and Paul Kaye ("It's All Gone Pete Tong") the story is pretty much a carbon copy of the first, except this time set in London. And lest you think this is some kind of unholy retread, Refn is actually one of the producers on the project (and in case you're wondering, Italian helmer Luis Prieto is directing).
Anyway, the Daily Mail have snapped up a couple of early stills for the movie, which do the job of selling sex and violence quite well, showing Deyn in the part of the stripper Flo, with Coyle as Frank, the lead dealer whose life spins out of control.
"Pusher" will land in U.K. theaters later this year, though we doubt it'll make its way stateside except on DVD. More below.
