First Listen: Robyn Hitchcock’s Songs From ‘Rachel Getting Married’

We already unveiled to you TV On The Radio frontman, Tunde Adebimpe’s acapella cover of Neil Young‘s classic, “Unknown Legend,” in Jonathan Demme’s “Rachel Getting Married,” which came out in limited release two weekends ago.

Now we have the two songs Robyn Hitchcock had in the film, one “America,” from his 1995 collection Gravy Deco, and the second track, “Up To Our Nex” which is an original composition writtten specifically for the film. We loved both songs in the film and in particular this new track. More details on the “Rachel Getting Married” soundtrack are here. The album is out via Lakeshore Records digitally now, but doesn’t come out physically until October 28.
