A new Jay-Z track, purportedly (and most probably) from the new soundtrack to the upcoming Notorious B.I.G. biopic, “Notorious,” has leaked on the interwebs.
Titled, “Brooklyn (We Go Hard)” the track is apparently produced by Mr. Kane West (stop jackin’ Carl Sagan’s wardrobe) and features Santogold on the hook. Considering how piss-poor Jay’s soundtrack to “American Gangster” album was (aside from maybe 1-2 good tracks), ‘Go Hard’ is quite good. It’s also expected to be featured on his upcoming The Blueprint 4 record.
One of the bars spits: “I father, I Brooklyn dodger them, I Jack, I Rob, I Sin// Aw man, I’m Jackie Robinson, except when I run the base, I dodge the pin (pen)//.” The soundtrack which features a new Biggie demo plus a new cut from Jadakiss as well comes out January 6. “Notorious” the film, is due in theaters January 16, 2009. The most recent trailer can be seen here. Below is a recently leaked clip from the film featuring Jamal Woodward as Biggie mackin’ on Antonique Smith as Faith Evans.
Jay-Z loves to sample the femme-C’s these days, doesn’t he? That’s just a reworking of Santi’s “Shove It”.
