Nicolas Winding Refn has taken viewers into the world of dealers and prisoners, brought them to the horrific depths of Valhalla, the slick streets of Los Angeles, and the strange underworld of Thailand. And now, the filmmaker is back in California, but for a different story than "Drive." Filming on "The Neon Demon" is about to wrap, and the first official images are here.
Elle Fanning, Jena Malone, Karl Glusman, Bella Heathcote, Abbey Lee, Desmond Harrington, Christina Hendricks, and Keanu Reeves star in the Countess Bathory-inspired movie about an aspiring model who becomes prey to other women who want what she has. We can’t wait to see what Refn does with that premise.
The movie is expected to be completed by early 2016, so let’s just go ahead and presume by this time next year, Refn will be on the red carpet in Cannes with his latest movie to show off. [Screen Daily]

I actually thought Kristen Stewart was better than Dakota in The Runaways, she played it much more faithful to the real Jett than Fanning played Currie.
I love Ellen though, she\’s great, but that doesn\’t mean Stewart isn\’t either (outside her popcorn flicks).
Fanning has signed to so many interesting projects, I can see her being nominated for an Oscar really soon with the right distributor.
Elle has already shown more range and depth than Kristen Stewart has, and it\’s long beyond time she gets recognized for it. She doesn\’t just play herself in every movie, she creates real characters. The Fanning sisters have more talent in their little fingers than many actresses in their age group. Can\’t wait to see this!
