Fake Movies & Shows From ‘Arrested Development’ Get Added To Netflix

As if we weren’t already excited enough about the revival of “Arrested Development,” Netflix has gone and made sure we’ll remember just how excited we are on a regular basis while browsing the site. The cult sitcom, which aired on Fox between 2003 and 2006, was always great at peppering the show with gags so there were always plenty of in-jokes for fans to love. Well, full credit to Netflix for exploiting those and peppering them across the site.

On Wednesday they added a bunch of fake shows and movies to their streaming catalog, all of which were featured in the first three seasons of the show. Titles like “Girls with Low Self Esteem: Newport Beach” which guest star Zach Braff presented on the show, George Micheal’s favorite piece of European cinema “Les Cousins Dangereux,” and the Judge Reinhold-starring courtroom series “Mock Trial With J. Reinhold” are now all up as links on the site, although sadly they all link back to the "Arrested Development" page.

Sure it would have been great to be able to watch titles like “Boyfights,” “Caged Wisdon: Musings From Prison,” “Families With Low Self Esteem,” “Wrench,” “Scandalmakers,” “Ready, Aim … Marry Me!,” and “World’s Worst Drivers” for real, but we’re happy enough with reminders like this about just how great the series was.
