It’s not just movies looking for Oscars that make waves at the Sundance Film Festival. Earlier this year, “The Eyes Of My Mother” turned heads when it premiered in Park City, with the horror movie continuing to ride the strong buzz it earned all year long across the festival circuit, most impressively taking home an armload of awards at Fantastic Fest including Best Feature, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay and Best Editing. It’s not to be missed, and these exclusive new posters are great mood setters for the film.
Directed by Nicolas Pesce, and starring Kika Magalhães, Will Brill, Flora Diaz, Paul Nazak, Clara Wong, Diana Agostini, and Olivia Bond, the story follows Francisca, who was inured to death from an early age by her mother, a former surgeon. When tragedy shatters her family’s idyllic life in the countryside, her deep trauma gradually awakens some unique curiosities, which manifests itself in a dark form as she grows up.
“The Eyes Of My Mother” is now playing MOMI in New York City as part of a retrospective of Borderline Films, and opens on December 2nd.
