Remember that wacky day-glo colored album Volta? On June 30, arty Icelandic sprite, Björk is releasing a special live concert DVD/CD/vinyl recording called Voltaic, via Nonesuch Records in the U.S.
Starting on Wed, June 17, the Paris concert from “Voltaic: The Volta Tour” will be screened nationwide in the U.S. More than 15 screenings have been set up, leading up to Voltaic’s June 30 release and more are coming. If you remember that dazzling tour, and we sure do, you’ll recall a pretty visually stunning experience replete with dancers, singers, all kinds of strange instrumentation and other wonderful bizarreness courtesy of good ol kooky Björk. Voltaic, includes four discs with a ton of goodies: 1) Songs From The Volta Tour Performed Live At Olympic Studios 2) (DVD) The Volta Tour Live In Paris, Live in Reykjavik 3) (DVD) The Volta Videos and the video competition, 4) The Volta Mixes. It’s more Bjork than you can throw a stick at.
