Exclusive: New Images Of Robert Pattinson In David Cronenberg’s ‘Cosmopolis’

nullEric Packer is having a bad day. With the financial markets in turmoil, unease in the streets, a marriage that's crumbling and more, his odyssey across Manhattan to get a haircut will take him on an adventure he never expected. Welcome to David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis."

Starring Robert Pattinson alongside a strong supporting cast that includes Paul Giamatti, Juliette Binoche, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Mathieu Amalric and more, the adaptation of Don LeLillo's novel centers on a young whiz kid billionaire whose seemingly innocent journey in a limo takes on surprising dimensions. It's certainly a different kind of role than we've seen from "Twilight" franchise star Pattinson, and it's another interesting stylistic turn for Cronenberg. Premiering at the Cannes Film Festival this spring, our man on the ground loved the picture calling it, "both an exceptional adaptation and a remarkable work unto itself."

With the film hitting theaters next week, we've got two exclusive pics to get you primed, with a gun-wielding Eric Packer and a grafitti covered limo suggesting just how wild his journey is. "Cosmopolis" opens on August 17th and is recommended as one of our 10 Films To See In August.null

It's a love it/hate it movie and that makes it the more interesting, it gets people talking about.
I've read some amazing reviews of Australian critics who wrote pages about it, not only the movie itself but their vision on capitalism, really interesting reads. They also had tons of praise for the performance of Robert Pattinson, some of them finding it award worthy. I can only agree with it.

His movie Bel Ami should do better in box office if promotion was handled full steam. I was disappointed when I found out that the movie didn't hit our cinema. There are movies I like to watch at home and there are movie I would like to see in the big screen.
