Blending sci-fi and western tropes in a wholly unique, sunbaked setting, "Young Ones" will likely be one of the most distinct movies you’ll see this fall. And today we have an exclusive clip to give you a fascinating look at the textured world writer/director Jake Paltrow has brought to the big screen.
Starring Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Elle Fanning, this three chapter tale is set in a near future where water and resources are scarce and survival is constant struggle. Living on the frontier is Ernest Holm (Shannon), who finds himself tested when his daughter Mary’s (Fanning) boyfriend, Flem Lever (Hoult), has designs on taking over his land. You can see the tension between the pair during the robot auction in this clip, which also highlights the subtle, yet impressive universe Paltrow had created for his story.
