Exclusive: Have A Religious Experience With Unsane In Clip From Amphetamine Reptile Doc ‘The Color Of Noise’

UnsaneFor fans of noisy, aggressive, and uncompromising music, they likely have an Unsane LP in their collection. Throughout the ’90s, the band were the premiere act for those who liked their rock ‘n roll on the fringes, and they staked their claim on the landscape with an abrasive sound and vivid artwork. Their 1995 record, Scattered, Smothered, & Covered, landed them on Amphetamine Reptile, a label with a reputation for envelope pushing acts.

The forthcoming documentary, "The Color Of Noise," tells the story of the edgy imprint, and today we have an exclusive clip, highlighting how Unsane wound up on their radar. Like many acts of the era, it was word of mouth, combined with a blistering live act that found Unsane and Amphetamine becoming collaborators.

"The Color Of Noise" arrives on DVD on Record Store Day, November 27th. Watch below.

  1. Definitely a must-watch here in a few weeks. At least the Unsane portion of it for sure. Will be really neat to get a better feel and understanding of the context around their formative years. Hopefully one day this band can do a documentary strictly about their own stuff.
