As you know, "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" arrives in theaters this weekend and will obliterate box office records. But if you’re looking for something far off the beaten path, unpredictable, and just a little weird, you might want to track down Quentin Dupieux‘s "Reality." And today we have an exclusive clip to underscore the distinct comedy the oddball movie delivers.
The story follows a little girl named Reality (Kyla Kenedy), who finds a VHS tape inside the carcass of a boar her father is planning to stuff. Meanwhile, the cameraman (Alain Chabat) of a show hosted by a man in a bear suit (Jon Heder) needs to record the perfect scream for his pet project, a film about killer TVs. Yes, this is completely unique stuff, with its own calibrated sense of humor, as seen in the sequence below in which Reality faces off against the school Superintendent, played by Eric Wareheim, in which she makes a very specific threat.
"Reality" is now playing at the IFC Center and is available on VOD.
