Before he was an Oscar winning filmmaker, actor and sometimes political pundit, before he was a rising star on “ER,” George Clooney was just like every young actor around Hollywood hoping to catch his big break. And that sometimes meant taking gigs just for the experience as he did on the late ’80s campy, schlock cult fave, “Return Of The Killer Tomatoes.”

As the title suggests, this one is a sequel to “Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes,” and it sees director John De Bello return to make a followup of his 1978 original a full decade later. Also featuring Anthony Starke, Karen M. Waldron, and John Astin from “The Addams Family” TV show, this one sees Professor Gangreen launch a dastardly plan to create tomato militia men while the world is still reeling from the Great Tomato War. It’s oddball, goofy fun as you’ll see in this clip that finds Clooney, going full mullet, using a tomato, toxic waste, and science to conjure Carmen Miranda.
