Case in point: “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” the latest film from Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert, otherwise known as Daniels. The new film stars Michelle Yeoh as an exhausted Chinese American woman who only wants to finish her taxes but finds herself caught up in an adventure that increasingly bends the bounds of time and space.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

An aging Chinese immigrant is swept up in an insane adventure, where she alone can save the world by exploring other universes connecting with the lives she could have led. Unfortunately, this sweeps her up into an even bigger adventure when she finds herself lost in the infinite worlds of the multiverse.

Alongside Yeoh, “Everything” also stars Jamie Lee Curtis, James Hong, Stephanie Hsu, Jonathan Ke Quan, and Ande Le. The film also stars Brian Le, Jenny Slate, and Harry Shum Jr.

Daniels both co-write and co-direct “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” It’s their first film since 2019’s “The Death Of Dick Long.” Cinematographer Larkin Seiple, who worked with Daniels on their 2016 film “Swiss Army Man,” returns for this film. Filmmaking brothers Anthony & Joe Russo are also on board as co-producers.

“Everything Everywhere All At Once” has its world premiere when it opens the South By Southwest Festival next year on March 11. How will the film’s multiversal shenanigans vie against the likes of MCU’s Phase 4 projects? Find out when the film hits theaters on March 25, courtesy of A24. Watch the trailer below.
