Eve Hewson aka Bono’s daughter has landed the biggest role of her still young career with a part in Paolo Sorrentino’s “This Must Be The Place” with Sean Penn and Frances McDormand.
The film “centers on an aging rock star (Penn) who becomes fixated on pursuing the Nazi criminal who tormented his father in a concentration camp.” Hewson will play a “gothic-punk” (yeah, we don’t know what that means, but expect dyed hair and piercings we guess) who is friends with Penn’s character, with McDormand set to play his wife.
The film will mark the English-language debut for Sorrentino who made a splash at Cannes 2008 with the Italian politico drama, “Il Divo.” And in case the title didn’t tip you off, the film will boast a score by David Byrne.
Filming on the modestly budgeted $28 million dollar movie is set to begin this month in the U.S. and Dublin, Ireland.
