The Emmys have some real drama on the line when it comes to Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Bill Hader of “Barry” repeated last year, but that HBO series has been delayed due to production being suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic. That leaves a window for “Schitt’s Creek’s” Eugene Levy (a previous winner only in the writing category), “Ramy’s” Ramy Youssef, and, maybe, “The Kominsky Method’s” Michael Douglas thanks to the fact more people have watched the latter thanks to Netflix. “Schitt’s Creek” should get some love in the other categories, but this is where we think Youssef shines through.
