Now that "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" is in theaters, and "Ant-Man" is on the way, everyone can start talking about the next Marvel movie, "Captain America: Civil War." And today comes fresh casting along with some rumors, so let’s dive in.
First up, Deadline reports that Emily VanCamp will reprise her "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" role as Agent 13 in ‘Civil War.’ She didn’t do that much in the previous film, so hopefully her character will have a bigger arc here, but given how many roles have to be squeezed into this movie, I can’t imagine it will be that substantial.
Meanwhile, it has only taken a couple of days since being cast for Martin Freeman’s role to start being rumored. Latino Review says he’ll be playing Everett Ross, a U.S. government agent and interrogator who is a Wakandan expert, which means that yes, he’ll also appear in "Black Panther."
Among those confirmed and/or expected to appear in the third Captain America film are Robert Downey Jr., Elizabeth Olsen, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, Anthony Mackie, and Chadwick Boseman. And that’s not to mention the next Spider-Man. And I won’t be surprised if even more faces surface. "Captain America: Civil War" arrives on May 6, 2016.
Ha, despite getting a little too starry eyed about the possibilities, I was dead-on about Freeman.
Nobody wants to talk about Civil War right now.
