Few actresses have had the near instant ascension that Emilia Clarke has already achieved in her career. She arrived almost out of nowhere to great acclaim as Daenerys Targaryen in “Game Of Thrones,” and outside of the blockbuster series she’s had mixed success with a role in the underrated “Dom Hemingway,” co-starring in this summer’s sleeper hit “Me Before You,” and playing Sarah Connor in the failed franchise reboot “Terminator Genisys.” Now, she’s getting ready to go to a galaxy far, far way.
Clarke has joined Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover in Phil Lord and Chris Miller‘s untitled Han Solo spinoff movie. While we already know that Ehrenreich is playing the smuggler and Glover is Lando Calrissian, Clarke’s female lead role is not being revealed just yet, but that’s a pretty killer trio to have fronting the movie.
Thoughts on who she’ll be playing? Feel free to speculate in the comments section. The Han Solo spinoff arrives on May 25, 2018.
Her choice doesn’t bode well for this one. While she is fine as Daenary’s, she is pretty inadequate elsewhere. Using her is for the name value only, which gives the impression they are going for the bottom line dollar, instead of quality..
