“Spent the morning standing around in my underwear with a nice group of strangers trying on bellies. Guess why,” actress Elizabeth Banks tweeted this afternoon. Well, she didn’t keep it a secret for too long as she quickly followed it up with, “Joining J Lo, Cameron Diaz and the rest of the awesome cast of What To Expect When You’re Expecting! Let’s have babies together!”
More formally, Lionsgate has officially announced her casting in the film, which is being packed to the gills with stars. Joining the aforementioned Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez along with Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Chris Rock, Matthew Morrison and Rodrigo Santoro, the film based on the must-have book for any soon-to-be Mom, will spin it into a “Love Actually” style narrative about four couples on the path to having a baby. Banks will play a baby-crazy children’s book author and owner of The Breast Choice boutique who thinks she knows what all the ingredients are in being a perfect Mom — until she becomes pregnant with her first child. Cue up lesson learning!
Kirk Jones (”Nanny McPhee,” “Waking Ned Devine“) is directing and your girlfriend and/or Mom will make you go see this on May 11, 2012.
Sounds truly horrific.
