It’s going to be a busy year for Benedict Cumberbatch. The actor has three big movies coming out this fall and winter: Jane Campion‘s “The Power Of The Dog,” “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” and set to make its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival this week, “The Electrical Life Of Louis Wain.”

Cumberbatch stars as Wain, the London-based artist famous for his propensity for drawing large-eyed, anthropomorphic cats. Later in life, Wain had severe mental illness and was in and out of mental asylums for advanced schizophrenia.

Alongside Cumberbatch, “Louis Wain” also stars Claire Foy, Jaime Demetriov, Toby Jones, and Andrea Riseborough. The film also features “Loki” star Sophia Di Martino, Stacy Martin, Hayley Squires, Julian Barratt, Aimee Lou Wood, and Adeel Akhtar.
Will Sharpe directs the film, his first feature since 2016’s “The Darkest Universe.” Credited to writers Sharpe and Simon Stephenson, best known for providing the story for Pixar‘s latest, “Luca.” Cumberbatch co-produces through SunnyMarch.

“Louis Wain” makes its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival first and then hits the Toronto International Film Festival after that. With “Power Of The Dog” coming soon and “Dr. Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness” hitting theaters next March, that’s going to be a lot of press tours for Mr. Cumberbatch in the upcoming months.
