During the pandemic, the thriller “The Dry” starring Eric Bana, made a big splash at the Australian box office. It’s one of the top 15 grossing Australian films of all time with over AU$17 million to date. Directed by Robert Connolly (“Paper Planes,” “The Slap“), “The Dry” is an atmospheric slow-burn mystery crime thriller where Bana stars as an Australian federal agent returning to the drought-stricken small town where he grew up to investigate a murder. That inquiry opens up old wounds and questions about another decades-old murder to which he might be connected.
