Here’s a quick quiz: Rank Adam Sandler, Hugh Grant, and Jake Gyllenhaal, from most to least talented.
If you’re a sane person, you’d probably rank Jake Gyllenhaal as the most talented, right? If you put him at #2, you better have a damn good reason. And if you actually had the nerve to rank him as the least talented, then someone needs to test your mental capacity. So, with that in mind, someone needs to check on Drew Barrymore because we think she might be losing it.
Barrymore recently appeared on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” and as these late night shows do, James Corden made her and poor John Boyega play a silly game instead of conducting a regular interview. The game is simple. You either answer an awkward question or eat a gross food. One of the questions Drew Barrymore was asked was the question above. Instead of eating turkey testicles, which we admit sounds gross, she immediately spits out Jake Gyllenhaal’s name as least talented.
She then fought with herself on which would be #1 and #2, between Sandler and Grant. Her final lineup, from most talented to least talented, was Adam Sandler, Hugh Grant, and Jake Gyllenhaal. She said, “By the way, I don’t even care if [Gyllenhaal] hates me…”
And for those that need a refresher, Barrymore co-starred with Gyllenhaal in the 2001 film, “Donnie Darko.” While Gyllenhaal might have been young, and not quite as his “Nightcrawler” level yet, he still would have acted circles around Adam Sandler. While Sandler has dipped his toes into honest acting, he’s still the guy that routinely puts out some of the worst films on the planet.
No matter her thoughts, Barrymore almost certainly should have eaten the turkey balls. Let’s be real, she might have gagged and maybe threw it back up, but at least she would have saved herself from true embarrassment.

Besides, the question itself is irrelevant as we are all talented in our own unique ways. Apples and oranges. Why not take an angle of: look what an outrageously funny thing Drew said to get out of eating Turkey balls… click to find out. Instead you question her sanity!? And then engage in ranking talent based on acting merit. I wonder how entertaining Jake would be in Happy GiImour or Four weddings and a Funeral? He is a dramatic method actor. Or vice versa either of those two comedic actors in Nightcrawler. The comparison is irrelevant. Its just a parlour game. Get over it.
I don’t know, I’ve never met anyone that wanted to watch Happy Gilmour. I certainly don’t.
Haha! Perhaps. Though counting only the people you’ve met is a biased and comparatively small sample, unless you’re the Dalai Lama. He’s met quite a few people. LOL. But it is never the less a huge hit, and part of the classic Sandler cannon. And kids love it. I doubt it would live on to this day (Netflix) had the character been mis-cast with a dramatic actor. My point simply being you can’t compare the talents of Gyllenhaal to Sandler. Further to Sandler’s credit he worked in the dramatic realm with PT Anderson! So the ball’s really in Jake’s court to do a slap-stick comedy! Perhaps Sandler is more talented than Jake after all. Poof! Mind officially blow! Lol. Thanks for the distraction.
