‘Downton Abbey: A New Era’ Trailer: New Faces Arrive, But Old Friends Don’t Have To Say Goodbye

When thinking of modern television and its lasting legacy, three shows come to mind as standing tall in either acclaim or significance. First, “Breaking Bad,” which lives on currently through Better Call Saul on AMC and is still considered potentially the best show of all time. Second, “Game of Thrones,” after its controversial final season is about to see its own continuation through the spin-off series “House of the Dragon this August on HBO. Lastly, of course, is “Downton Abbey,” a series with a following ranging from quaint to insanely devoted with its period piece elegance. After the show concluded in 2015, it received a continuation through a feature film of the same name in 2019. Now, this spring, the sequel “Downton Abbey: A New Era” looks to further continue the story of the wide-reaching Crawley family and their servants.
