Man, does Kenneth Branagh have more juice than we all expected and added even more names to “Thor”?
Dominic Cooper, the young actor who played a dashing socialite/swindler in Lone Scherfig’s “An Education” might have a role in the picture as well?
According to a recent Movieline interview, he’s been in definite talks to appear in the film though he doesn’t seem to know very much about the project.
Finally, have you been approached to play a role in Thor?
Ummm…yeah. Kind of. But nothing’s finalized?
No, absolutely not. Do you know much about Thor? I know some.
Tell me: Is there a good part for me? I know of a few that still need filling.
Which one would you see me as? Fandral, maybe?
[Looking down at the script sides near him] You know! You’re looking at these very confidential pages!
Rumors over the weekend said Robert DeNiro and Jude Law had joined the cast in some unknown capacity, but we’ll keep those under conjecture for now. The picture stars Chris Hemsworth as the Norse God hero, Tom Hiddleston as his villainous brother Loki, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster (a human love interest) on top of many more thespians (Colm Feore, Stellan Skarsgård, etc.). “Thor” will likely shoot in January and is scheduled to hit theaters May 20, 2011.
hat would be a nice group. But I think it's pretty much confirmed that Dominic will be cast in this movie.
