As sets are being built and “Man Of Steel” gets ready to shoot, Zack Snyder is putting the finishing touches on the cast of his film.
Variety reports that character actor Harry Lennix, perhaps best known for his stints on “Dollhouse” and in “The Matrix” trilogy (he was Commander Lock) has come aboard the film playing General Swanwick, a high ranking military official. And that’s it. As is typical with anything Christopher Nolan related — he’s a producer on the film — plot details have been kept well under lock and key, but feel free to take a guess as to what this casting may or may not mean.
Lennix will be surround by a strong group of thesps including Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond and Christopher Meloni. The film still hasn’t been officially dated, but it is expected to hit theaters in December 2012.
LOL. Every weekend that delivers more bad news for Green Lantern, we get bits of other DC film news leaked. When Sucker Punch was bombing, we got a whole slew of casting news. Then it dried up for a while. If Green Lantern had failed to cross $100 million this week, I\’m sure the entire script of MOS would have been dropped on us, along with set pics from TDKR.
