Even with production officially shut down on “Fast & Furious 7” following the death of Paul Walker, Universal is still hanging on to their July 11, 2014 release date for the movie. But it’s unlikely it’ll stick, so rivals are making their move.
Fox has bumped up their own blockbuster sequel “Dawn Of The Planet Of Apes” to July 11, from its original release date of July 18, 2014. That gets it out of the way of Brett Ratner‘s “Hercules” starring Dwayne Johnson, but more crucially gives it another week to swing in the summer movie season. The sequel from director Matt Reeves has been mostly under wraps thus far, but a trailer is expected soon, which will give us our first glimpse of the flick that brings together Jason Clarke, Andy Serkis, Kodi-Smit McPhee, Gary Oldman and Keri Russell for an ape-tacular adventure.
