Most filmmakers will tell you when they’re making a movie, that they have little time for anything else. So, that means that directors might have to go with missing that TV show everyone is talking about, or the movie that has set Twitter aflame. That’s how it went for Darren Aronofsky who spent the bulk of 2017 putting the finishing touches on “mother!” and then going out on a grueling press tour for the flick. But now that he’s got downtime, there are some TV shows he wants to catch up with.
Stopping by IndieWire’s “Filmmaker’s Toolkit” podcast, Aronofsky shared what TV shows he’s eager to catch up on, and is perhaps even binging right now through the holiday season.
“I just want to relax a little bit, catch up on ‘Rick and Morty‘ season three and ‘Game of Thrones‘ season seven,” he explained. “And ‘The Deuce‘ is coming out! Never mind ‘Naked and Afraid XL‘ season three.”
His scarf-ness will probably be pleased to find out that “The Deuce” is already available, and we never took him for a reality show guy — that’s a truly sink-breaking revelation. Check out the full conversation below. [via Vulture]
