Who, who and who? Yeah, ordinarily we probably wouldn’t give this kind of minor casting much notice but when it comes to “The Dark Knight Rises” we’ll take whatever we can get since Christopher Nolan and co. will be keeping details on a short leash.
Daniel Sunjata (“Rescue Me“), Diego Klattenhoff (“Mercy“) and the awesomely named Burn Gorman (“Torchwood“) have boarded the highly anticipated sequel. Sunjata will play a special forces operative, with Klattenhoff as a rookie cop trying to do good and Gorman in an unspecified supporting role. And well, that’s all there is right now. The trio join Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Juno Temple and Josh Pence with Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt not yet fully confirmed, but likely to, as the film gears up to start lensing this summer in Pittsburgh.
Not in 3D, and presumably in old-fashioned 24 frames per second, “The Dark Knight Rises” swoops into theaters on July 20, 2012. [Variety]
This is major. First off this guy is one of the least known AMAZING actors in the game. He\’s played to the bread and butter \”gorgeous guy that women want and men want to be\” in films and tv in the past, got nominated for a Tony in Take Me Out on broadway, but If you want to see what he hasn\’t really gotten to show us fans and the industry just yet you need to watch him opposite Roth in Lie To Me. He played a serial rapist and made the character LIKEABLE in a creepy way. He has tremendous talent so I can not wait to see what he does in Dark Knight. And that jaw line is just ridiculous. Makes me self conscious about my double chin LOL. Seriously though this man is a matinee idol, ready made. Just add water. And once you get greenlit by a director like Nolan the sky is the limit. I predict his career is about to go super nova. Great news. I am pumped!
Looking forward to the movie but it seems to be getting very, very bloated…
Sunjata-Klattenhoff-Gorman sounds like the best law firm ever.
Exactly, all small, insignificant parts. You\’re likely not even going to notice them.
Christopher: Nah. The last one had Michael Jai White, Eric Roberts, Anthony Michael Hall, Nestor Carbonell, etc. all in minor roles. Plus all the people like that Chinese crime boss, the female cop, the guy who threatens to \”out\” Bruce Wayne, the people on the boat…
They all fit into the story. These three are likely playing similarly small parts.
\”Who, who and who? Yeah, ordinarily we probably wouldn’t give this kind of minor casting much notice but when it comes to “The Dark Knight Rises” we’ll take whatever we can get since… IT GENERATES A BIGGER AMOUNT OF CLICKS FOR OUR BLOG\”
Nolan\’s a good director. But Lydia, you really need to see more films.
When do the editors get to this article?
Wow, can we block quote Johanna\’s comment for posterity in this piece?
Amazing.
Woooo!! Let me tell you, this will be an Anne Hathaway you’ve never seen, and she’s going to knock everyone’s socks off in The Dark Knight Rises! You are going to be so killed by her performance. I can’t tell you how good she is going to be as a strong, independent, sexy Catwoman. Oh, she is going to be so good in this. It’s unbelievable the performance she is going to give. It’s amazing. Hahah.. freakin’ fantastic, can’t wait! Man! I feel like a woman!
Christopher Nolan is the undisputed best and greatest director in the world.
The Dark Knight Rises will be the biggest movie of 2012. Watch out Avatar!
