Got a Tip?

Corey Haim Dead At Age 38

Actor Corey Haim has passed away at age 38.

Haim was found unresponsive earlier this morning at his home and was pronounced dead at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank. Early reports say the cause of death is an apparent drug overdose, though an autopsy has yet to be performed.

Haim rose to prominence during the ’80s as the adolescent star of such films as “Lucas,” “Silver Bullet,” “License To Drive” and “Lost Boys” the latter two of which he co-starred with friend and fellow heartthrob Corey Feldman. Unfortunately, Haim’s popularity didn’t continue through the ’90s and he struggled with drug addiction.

In 2007, he was reunited with Feldman for the A&E reality series “The Two Coreys.” The show lasted two seasons but was not picked up for third after Feldman wanted Haim to get “the help he truly needs.”

In recent years, Haim seemed to be back on track. He appeared in the direct-to-video sequel “Lost Boys: The Tribe” and made an entertaining cameo in last year’s “Crank: High Voltage.” According to IMDB, he was set to appear in a multitude of upcoming projects, and seemed to be working steadily again for the first time in nearly a decade.
