You may not know his name, but you know his style at first glance. Ralph Steadman most famously brought vivid life to the covers of books by gonzo writer Hunter S. Thompson like "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72", illustrated editions of classic books like "Treasure Island," "Animal Farm" and "Fahrenheit 451," and in so doing influenced a generation of artists. Steadman is now this subject of a documentary, "For No Good Reason," and we’ve got some copies on Blu-ray for some lucky readers and one pretty great grand prize. But first here’s a synopsis of what the movie is all about:
So this doc features great talent and famous faces coming together to tell the life story of a man whose visionary art left an indelible mark on the early 1970s. So how can you win a copy of the Blu-ray and, for one reader, a copy of the film poster signed by Ralph Steadman?
Follow us on Twitter and tweet the following: “I want to win For No Good Reason from @ThePlaylist. #WinThePlaylistContest.” Your final step: just email us your tweet, your full name and address, and tell us what you’d like to see Steadman design next —it can be anything. Good luck!
"For No Good Reason" is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.
