Coming into 2019, all eyes were on Jordan Peele and his sophomore horror film, “Us.” After the box office and critical success of “Get Out,” which earned Peele an Oscar, many wondered if he’d be able to do it again with his newest feature. And while we don’t know if awards consideration is upcoming, we do know that the box office was even bigger for “Us,” and Peele proved that he’s more than capable of creating creepy horror films.

Here’s the synopsis:
Set along the northern California coastline, Adelaide Wilson (Nyong’o) reluctantly returns to her beachside childhood home with her family and finds that she is haunted by unresolved trauma from her past along with a string of eerie coincidences. As darkness falls after a tense day at the beach, the Wilsons discover four figures standing in their driveway. They soon realize this is only the beginning of their troubles as they find that the four figures are terrifying and uncanny opponents: doppelgängersof themselves.
