Got a Tip?

Contest Giveaway: ‘Midnight In Paris’ Poster Signed By Woody Allen

Kicking off the Cannes Film Festival this year and opening to positive reviews and a stronger than expected box office, Woody Allen‘s “Midnight In Paris” has been a surprising summer treat for moviegoers. And as the film continues to rollout across the country, we’ve got a fantastic giveaway courtesy of Sony Pictures Classics that will make one lucky Woody Allen fan very, very happy. One reader will win a “Midnight In Paris” poster signed by none other than Woody Allen himself.

In case this one has slipped under your radar, a huge ensemble of A-list talent and Gallic stars including Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Michael Sheen, Adrien Brody, Nina Arianda, Corey Stoll, Mimi Kennedy, Kurt Fullerby, Carla Bruni, Léa Seydoux, Gad Elmaleh and Manu Payet, star in “Midnight In Paris,” a romantic comedy that follows a family traveling to the titular city for business, including a young engaged couple who have their lives transformed throughout the journey. The film celebrates a young man’s great love for Paris, and simultaneously explores the illusion people have that a life different from their own is better.

Update: Contest is closed. The winner will be contacted by email.

So, how do you win? For a prize like this we’re going to have make things a bit more difficult than usual. The first person to email us with the correct answers to each of the following three questions will win the prize (please also include your mailing address):

1. What film did Michael Keaton originally star in only for Woody Allen to stop the production, scrap the footage and start over with a new lead actor?
2. What film did Woody Allen originally shoot with Sam Shepard, Maureen O’Sullivan and Charles Durning only to eventually start over by re-writing, re-casting and re-shooting the entire film?
3. What film did Woody Allen stipulate be preserved in its original aspect ratio for all home video releases and television broadcasts?

Good luck everyone! And sorry, this contest is open to the residents of the United States only. “Midnight In Paris” is now playing select cities and if it’s not in your town yet, it will be soon.

  1. Correct answers were:

    1. Purple Rose Of Cairo
    2. September
    3. Manhattan

A lot of people got confused and submitted the aspect ratio (which is 2.35:1 btw) for the third answer. Thanks for playing folks!
