Ooops, we already posted a bunch of acceptance speeches from last night’s 66th Annual Golden Globes, but one that we forgot and also loved, was Colin Farrell’s acceptance for Best Actor in the Comedy section for “In Bruges.” It was a great, humble and self-deprecating speech (check the self-flagellating drug dig) and his excellent performance in Martin McDonagh’s film (which artfully balanced vulnerability and comedy) as a suicidal hitman proved that he’s returned to be taken seriously as an actor and not just a tabloid dunderhead. Anyhow, this speech was great and it’s a nice welcome back for him. It’s great to see former addicts receiving positive re-enforcement for good deeds.
Great speech.
Glad he’s oulling himself together.
