For some women, having and raising children is everything. For others who have difficulty getting pregnant, for whatever reason, it’s more of a societal pressure. But when does the need to be a mother become something altogether sinister?

Alexis Jacknow explores that in her feature debut, “Clock,” premiering on Hulu next month. In the film, Dianna Agron stars as Ella, a woman who enlists in an experimental clinical trial to fix her broken biological clock after friends, family, and society pressure her to have children. But there may be something more sinister to the clinic’s pioneering treatment than Ella realizes…
“Clock” also stars Jay Ali, Melora Hardin, Saul Rubinek, Isabelle Du, and Grace Porter.
Jacknow writes “Clock” on top of her directing duties. The director got her start helming two shorts for 20th Digital Studios‘ first season of “Bite Size Halloween” in 2020. “Clock” is part of the studios’ continuing slate of horror features on Hulu, which includes “Grimcutty,” “Matriarch,” and the upcoming films “Appendage” and “The Mill.”
