So, “Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For” is coming, promising to fill up the summer quota of sex, violence and tough guy dialogue. And to get you in the mood, a handful of new storyboard tease some of the naughty material that’s going to be hitting the big screen.
Posted over on the film’s Facebook page, they are a bit more elaborate than traditional storyboards. They are more like comic book panels, with Miller’s distinctive black-and-white style bringing them to life. Guns, fists, babes, boobs and more feature, as you might expect from the hand of Miller, along with no shortage of colorful narration and dialogue.
Take a look below and see the film on August 22nd.
Nancy on the page vs. Nancy in the film. Casting Alba in that role remains a misstep. That her film counterpart never exposes herself in a similar fashion paints the character as nauseatingly innocent/uncorrupted vs. the somewhat tainted angel she is on the page.
Very sexy. I wish it was being released at the beginning of summer, instead of the end of it. Oh well, at least I know I've got one good film to look forward to in August. Dennis Haysbert as Manute should be very cool, too.
'' life leaves Ava (eva green) ''
thanks for the SPOiLER warning you dumb cu**
To be fair, the Facebook page on which they appear does bill them as "storyboards."
Then again, if Frank Miller wrote "Kool-Aid" on a bottle of paint thinner, well….
wow, total fail here. they are indeed panels from the comic book. *facepalm
Come on… Sin City IS a graphic novel and those are panels from the actual "A Dame to Kill For". The first one is the freakin COVER of the book, how can one possibly miss that?
Those are no storyboards, those are pages from the comic-book, (or graphic novel if you prefer that term), that the movie is adapted from.
