Got a Tip?

Casting: Dave Bautista Rumored For ‘Bond 24,’ ‘Mission: Imposssible 5’ Gets Villain And More

Guardians Of The GalaxyDaniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Lea Seydoux, and Naomie Harris may be getting an unlikely playmate in "Bond 24." Wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista, last seen mixing it up on the big screen in "Guardians Of The Galaxy," is rumored to have landed a bad guy role "in the tradition of Jaws or Oddjob." Bautista in a Sam Mendes-directed movie? Guess we’ll see. Cameras roll in December. [Latino Review]

Sean Harris has been offered the villain role in "Mission: Impossible 5." The increasingly busy actor’s recent credits include "’71," "Southcliffe," "The Borgias," and "Prometheus," and basically, if you watch movies even casually, you’ve seen him in something. [Deadline]

With "Underworld 5" moving ahead with Theo James in the lead, the presumption was that Kate Beckinsale was moving on. Not quite. At New York Comic-Con Len Wiseman revealed, "we have another film in the works with Kate," in addition to an "Underworld" TV series. Franchising! [Bloody Disgusting]

Donald Glover is going into outer space with Ridley Scott‘s "The Martian." The actor joins Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Mackenzie Davis, and Jeff Daniels in the movie about "an astronaut who becomes stranded on Mars and must figure out how to survive long enough to return home to Earth." [The Wrap]

Speaking of Ridley Scott, he’s also producing a drama about football concussions starring Will Smith, and it has just added Luke Wilson to the cast. The actor joins Alec Baldwin, Albert Brooks, Gugu Mbatha Raw, and Paul Reiser in the movie that follows "Dr. Bennet Omalu, the forensic neuropathologist who made the first discovery of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in a professional football player and brought awareness to the public. As he blows the whistle on player injuries, Omalu’s quest humanizes the price paid by professional athletes in impact sports — and the political, cultural and corporate interests that fuel the business of pro sports." Peter Landesman ("Parkland") directs. [The Wrap]

Olivia Thirlby, Tye Sheridan, James Frecheville, Johnny Simmons, Ki Hong Lee, and Nelsan Ellis have joined "Stanford Prison Experiment." They are part of an ensemble that already includes Ezra Miller, Michael Angarano, and Billy Crudup, in the movie that centers on "the infamous 1971 psychological exercise in which college students exhibited shocking cruel and sadistic behavior when divided into camps of prisoners and prison guards." [Deadline]

Jackie Earle Haley ("Watchmen," "Little Children") has joined "London Has Fallen." He’ll play Deputy Chief Mason, and if we were to roll the dice, he’s probably a bad guy. [The Wrap]

Hugh Grant won’t star in "Bridget Jones Diary 3." "I decided not to do it, but I think they’re going to go ahead and do it without Daniel," the actor said. "The book’s excellent, by the way, but the script is completely differentwell, the script as I last saw it a few years ago." So, they’re going to make a third movie without Grant’s character? Good luck. [Daily Mail

Zoe Kazan and Joaquim de Almeida have joined David Gordon Green‘s "Our Brand Is Crisis." They’ll star alongside Sandra Bullock, Scoot McNairy, Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Mackie, and Ann Dowd, in the George Clooney-produced film about a retired American political consultant brought to Bolivia to help strategize for its elections. Production starts this fall. [The Wrap]
