Ol’ Shakespeare is getting the kind of fresh coat of paint that underscores just how enduring the work of the Bard is hundreds of years on. Sure, we all know the story of "Macbeth," but we’d wager few interpretations will be as bold as "The Snowtown Murders" director Justin Kurzel‘s take in the Cannes-bound "Macbeth." And new images from the film have arrived.
Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard take the lead roles in the movie, which Empire notes from the official synopsis will be "a reimagining of what wartime must have been like for one of Shakespeare’s most famous and compelling characters, a story of all-consuming passion and ambition set in war-torn medieval Scotland.” But clearly, these pics are taken from the less bloody moments of the story.
"Macbeth" will open in the U.S. via The Weinstein Company and we can’t wait.
Marion Cotillard will be mindblowing in this film. I have this feeling. She has an insane look in that solo picture, insaneee!!
