The last time we saw Adam Driver, he was emo-raging across the galaxy as Kylo Ren in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and completely losing his shit in the season finale of “Girls.” However, for his next effort, the actor is chilling out a bit, playing a low-key bus driver in Jim Jarmsuch‘s “Paterson.”
Judging by the three clips that recently debuted, this one looks like it’s in the loose “Broken Flowers“/”Stranger Than Paradise” wheelhouse from the director, with not much of a high concept, just a lead character ambling his way through a series of events. And the new images below certainly find that the director hasn’t lost his understated eye for visuals. Also, there’s a cute dog in this one, so it’s got that going for it too.
Co-starring Golshifteh Farahani, Kara Hayward and Sterling Jerins,”Paterson” will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this month, with Amazon already slated to distribute the film.
